Biography

Ramazan Yeniceri was born in Denizli, Türkiye in 1985. He is married to Vuslat Yeniceri, and has a daughter.

He received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department from Istanbul Technical University (ITU). In 2014, he visited NDnano at University of Notre Dame as a researcher for six months. He has received ITU's Annual Award for Best PhD Thesis in 2015, and Boeing Faculty Award form Boeing University Relations Funding Program in 2017.

After six years of Research and Teaching Assistant experience in ITU Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in addition to the research activities in GSTL Embedded System Design Lab., and one year of Senior Design and Verification Engineer experience in Electra IC, he served in ITU Aerospace Research Center (ITU ARC) as a Senior Researcher.

He is now with Department of Aeronautical Engineering as an Assistant Professor since 2017. He was one of the Vice Chairs of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering between 2019 and 2021. Currently, he is the Chair of Department of Defense Technologies since 2020. He was also a Board Member of ITU Aviation Institute in 2018-2020 and 2024-2025 periods. He is the founder and the Principal Investigator of ITU ARC Avionics Lab and Research Group since 2018.

His current research topics are embedded systems, FPGAs, SOCs, avionics, unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomy, sensing & perception, positioning, and wireless communication.
