Our international office does not organize housing -
they dont have that capacity, but they do transfer the contacts of students
incoming to itu who have finished their studied and students who are about to
start, at their will of course, so that the housing is simply transferred
between the students. This is ofcourse informal and a place is not
guaranteed. You need to complete this form... There are some decent dorms in our main campus which
will probably be free but students do not prefer it because it is as expensive
as renting a place in the city centre walking distance from our
school. Please click for info on dorms. The metro line has been extended
since last year, and will start - by the time you are here - service between
the main campus where the dorms are
and taxim. There is always people – turkish and erasmus students –
looking for housemates in between semestres... if you wish, we can print out
a flyer that you send us and post it on the school, and send you info on
existing flyers... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are some private apart-hotel enterprises that
mainly serves erasmus students. They are a biy expensive... I found and talked to one of them: “Ki Real Estate Agency” http://www.flatsinistanbul.net - Mustafa Kellekci Real Estate Broker /Owner Mechanical
Engineer (M.Sc./Dipl.-Ing.) He has a number of studio flats, some in a single
apartment in front of the Vatican Consulate (its a run down street but cit is
close to the school and i’m sure it has really strong security). The price
for one studio is €600 plus utilities. There is no deposit but he expects a
few months’ rent in advance!. The flats have personal lines of electricity,
heating, water, internet, plus laundry, kitchenette and kitchenware and a set
of sheets, security, and cleaning once a week i think. He says that he has a number of furnished apartments in
the area as well but that the owners are not willing to Please contact me or the estate agent directly if you
want to reserve one of there studios. He talks Español, Deutsch, Italiano, Türkçe,
English... his contact info is +90 555 6385232. Click to googlego to the etate office Click to googlego to the apartments in front of the
Vatican Consulate ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another private apart-hotel enterprise that I had
talked to last year is Mr.Servet Ucak. He only speaks turkish. You can check examples of his apartments out at http://www.sahibinden.com/displayitem.php?a=3630279
. There are a number of 20m2 studios in one apartment. The price
on the web site is 750 TurkishLiras (http://coinmill.com/TRY_calculator.html#TRY=750) with a 1500 TurkishLira deposit. It is a bit
expensive but I think worth it because everything is included - electricity,
heating, water, internet, laundry, furniture including kitchenware and a set
of sheets, security, and cleaning once a week. He will reserve places i
think, but he may ask for a deposit in the following month(s?). I may be able
to take the price down just a bit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An alternative is the one that four 2007-8 IMIAD
students chose... They settled in with a 11 person group from Auburn
University who were here for an exchange semestre. We rented a whole
apart-hotel (http://www.salimbyapart.com). This year the Auburn group will be 15 people, so there
will not be any free space in the same apartment. However they have another place near the school which they
will let to us with some discount. Last year the rent per person was 575$ (http://coinmill.com/USD_calculator.html#USD=575)
plus utilities. Click to google-go to the etate office ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is my latest search: These are rooms for rent in a hostel... the price is
really really cheap. Looks good. Alternative3 ... here ite says that all utilities are included in the
price this is a good alternative too: click these are recently furnished studós but they are a bit
expensive... click Click for a fresh search for furnished studios close to
school: click ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can contact me in the case that you choose to
search for other housing. I will post here
about any 3rd semestre imiad student who want to sublet their places to
incoming imiad students during their imiad mobility. They usually can not
sublet their current housing... Last updated |
