Wednesday Groups (Asst. Prof. Dr. Suat İlhan) Friday Groups (Prof. Dr. Aydoğan Özdemir) Midterm Grades: Wednesday Groups: Grades (Asst. Prof. Dr. Suat İlhan) Friday Groups: Grades (Prof. Dr. Aydoğan Özdemir) ELK 411E High Voltage Laboratory comprises both the lectures and the laboratory experiments. The names of the experiments and laboratory program are given below. Please refer to “High Voltage Laboratory Course Evaluation” for grading details and for post-experiment requirements. Experiments E1: Measurement of high AC voltages. Measurement with sphere gaps. E2: Experimental and numerical analysis of static electric fields. Electrolytic tank method. E3: High voltage insulators. Determination of voltage distribution and flashover voltage for insulator strings. E4: Determination of breakdown voltage and breakdown strength of insulating oils. E5: Measurement of dissipation factor and dielectric constant of solid dielectrics. E6: Generation and measurement of lightning impulse voltages. E7: Generation and measurement of extra-high voltages. (Fuat Külünk High Voltage Laboratory - Gümüşsuyu Campus)
Experiment Report Note: Only the reports prepared by the students who have already participated the experiment will be taken into account. Absent students should be aware of that their reports will not be taken into account. Previous students: The students who have already taken the course before can apply the instructor and ask to be free of attendance to the experiments. However, they have to attend the lectures and experiments and also they have to prepare experiment reports. It is necessary to attend at least 5 experiments to get VISA for the final test.
