Ameteur Radio Astronomy and Satellite Ground Station.

The construction of Ground Station started in 2019 and it belongs to University of Turkish Aeronautical Association Astronomy Community. The information on this page is just technical summary of the station.

Station Computer

A Debian 9.11 Stretch laptop used. Installation steps are in here.

Antennas

UHF-VHF arrow antenna for 145.850 Mhz (6.46 dBd gain) and 436.800 Mhz (10.5 dBd gain).
Yagi H-line radio astronomy antenna for 1.42 Ghz (18 dB gain).
A new S-band antenna will be added in the future.

Mobile Antennas

Tape measure VHF antenna for 145 Mhz (7.3 dBd gain). Perfect with ISS and NOAA.
Turnstile antenna for 137 Mhz.

Controller

Quartapound's CNC shield based rotator controller used with an arduino uno.

SDR and LNA

Useful Programs

SDR# (Win), Gqrx (Lin).
Gpredict, Orbitron.
