Dr. Hamza Salih Erden attended Data Center Istanbul Conference on December 8th, 2020 to make an invited talk on the CFD modeling research activities for energy savings in data centers to the participants from the industry.
Our group member, Beltus Nkwawir Wiysobunri, presented his work titled “A Deep Learning Approach to Fault Detection and Classification in Datacenters” at the 6th High Performance Computing Conference (BAŞARIM 2020) on October 8-9th, 2020. Welcome to the home page of Dr. Hamza Salih Erden.
Dr. Erden received his B.S. degree from Istanbul Technical University in Mechanical Engineering; M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Syracuse University in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He is now a faculty member at Istanbul Technical University, where he leads graduate-level teaching track and research laboratory titled “Thermal Systems in Cloud Infrastructure” at the Informatics Institute. His current research is on the thermodynamic modeling and optimization of data center thermal environment and cooling infrastructure. As an active member of ASHRAE, ASME and IEEE, Dr. Erden authored and co-authored more than 35 journal articles and conference papers and received 2015 ASHRAE Willis H. Carrier Award.
