Key qualifications:

Emre Evren is an earth sciences researcher having more than 12 years of experience in subsurface mapping projects, particularly focused on local environmental & engineering problems, as well as tectonic deformation and GPS studies in larger scale. His main area of interests are:

  • Shallow geophysical methods including Ground Penetrating Radar, Electrical, EM, Seismics and Magnetic exploration techniques which are used to investigate the buried structures (i.e., pipes, cables, archeological indications), sub-terrestrial geological classifications (i.e., layers, faults, groundwater, landslides), environmental engineering problems (i.e., groundwater contamination, waste management studies).
  • Active tectonics, based on GPS modelling and
  • Stress & strain calculations in local and/or larger scale.

Mr. Evren is also a software developer and created a GPS deformation modelling software (I-WITGPS) for Windows and Unix systems which is widely used in academic bodies around the globe.
