TAKE HOME EXAM

Policy

General Comments

UUM 508E will have one mid-term exams during the semester and a final exam. The final exam, while comprehensive in nature, will focus upon topics covered after the mid-term examination. Solutions to the exams will be posted to the web-site sometime after the exam.

Format

Exams will be conducted during the regular class meeting time on the dates indicated by the class schedule. These exams will be "open-book, open-note" exams. Most of the examination will be calculations, so a calculator is required. Occassionally, short answers will be required.

Make-up Exams

Make-up exams are highly undesirable and will only be granted if the instructor is informed of an absence before the scheduled exam. Extraordinary circumstances may be considered.

Cheating

Cheating on exams will not be tolerated in this class. I will follow the guidlines given by the Istanbul Technical University Senate.

If the exams are open-book, open-note format, "crib sheets" or notes will not be considered illegal.

Sanctions for cheating on an examination will include receiving a 0% score for that examination.
