Işın Erer  received  B.Sc. ,M.Sc. and  Ph.D. degrees from Istanbul Technical University  in 1991, 1993 and in 2001 respectively, all in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Since 2002, she has been with the Telecommunications division at the department of Electronics and Communications, Istanbul Technical University where she is now an associate professor. She has also worked as a research associate in some of the SAR processing projects of ITU Remote Sensing Center between 1996-2001 and has been vice-coordinator of Advanced Technologies- Satellite Communication and Remote Sensing Graduate Program at Istanbul Technical University between 2003-2004. Her research interests include statistical signal processing, high resolution radar imaging, spectral estimation, multidimensional linear prediction techniques.

Dr. Erer is a member of IEEE Signal Processing Society. and has been author of several journal papers and conference proceedings in the area of high resolution radar imaging techniques, multidimensional linear prediction methods and their image processing applications.
