BIOGRAPHY
Kevork MARDİKYAN was born in Istanbul on February 16, 1948. He was accepted at the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the Istanbul Technical University (1968). He graduated from the Power Engineering (High Current) branch of the department, and he received the Master of Engineering diploma in 1974. He become an assistant at the I.T.U. Engineering & Architecture Faculty, Electrical Engineering Department in April 1974. He received the PhD degree in 1981 at the same faculty.
Kevork MARDİKYAN was appointed at the research laboratories of the company Schneider Electric SA Grenoble, France in 1994 and 1995. At Schneider Electric he carried out an experimental research work on gaseous insulation. He worked as consulting engineer in 1998 and 1999 for the Alstom Company, which was the main contractor for the Construction of the Istanbul Subway Electromechanical Systems. Kevork MARDİKYAN is currently professor at I.T.U. Electrical and Electronics Faculty, Electrical Engineering Department.
He is also the author and the co-author of more than 30 scientific and technical papers. He has good knowledge of French and English.
