Turkey's first High Resolution Remote Sensing Satellite GÖKTÜRK: With 2.5 m. of resolution, planned to meet the image requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces as well as other institutions that require satellite images for URBAN DEVELOPMENT, disasters management, emergency situations, agriculture and transportation. GÖKTÜRK-2 was transported from Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI), Turkey to Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, China on November 23, 2012 and launched on December 18, 2012 with a LM-2D LV.
