1. Seismic Safety Evaluation and Strengthening of Resident Buildings after Erzincan Earthquake 1992
The project was carried out by the Earthquake Application and Research Center of Istanbul Technical University with the other four institutions of the four major universities in Turkey after the Erzincan Earthquake 1992. Numerous resident building were investigated and their seismic safety evaluated by the members of the Center. Comprehensive strengthening projects were prepared for the buildings having not enough seismic safety. The project covered 400 buildings having 3000 residential units and a construction area of 300 000m2. The members of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, including Dr. Celep, participated to the project.
2. Seismic Safety Evaluation and Strengthening of Resident Buildings after Dinar Earthquake 1995
The project was carried out by the Earthquake Application and Research Center of Istanbul Technical University with the other four institutions of the four major universities in Turkey after the Dinar Earthquake 1995. Numerous resident building were investigated and their seismic safety evaluated by the members of the Center. Comprehensive strengthening projects were prepared for the buildings having not enough seismic safety. The project covered buildings having 10 000 residential units and a construction area of 100 000m2. The members of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, including Dr. Celep, participated to the project.

4. Assessment of the earthquake vulnerability and strengthening of the buildings of the Company of Acrilic Chemical Industry (AKSA)
The Earthquake Application and Research Center of Istanbul Technical University organized various teams consisting of the members of ITU for seismic safety evaluation end strengthening of numerous buildings owed by the Company for Acrilic Chemical Industry (AKSA). The project covered buildings having a construction area of 95 000m2 (in year of 2001). The members of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, including Dr. Celep, participated to the project.

8. Earthquake Masterplan for Istanbul, Turkey
The project conducted by the four major universities in Turkey for the preparation of a very comprehensive earthquake master plan for the Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul in 2004. The members of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, including Dr. Celep, participated to the project.
9. Assessment of the earthquake vulnerability and strengthening of schools in the Istanbul Region
The project involved numerous schools and the members of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, including Dr. Celep, participated to the project in 2005.
10. Pilot Project for Seismic Rehabilitation of Zeytinburnu District in Istanbul
The project involved numerous building in Zeytinburnu District and conducted by the four major universities in Turkey as pilot study for Earthquake Masterplan In the project seismic assessment and retrofit methodologies developed in the masterplan are tested, updated and verified for Istanbul. The members of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, including Dr. Celep, participated to the project in 2005.
11. Consultant to design of Antalya, Ankara and Izmir Airport buildings extended in 2005-
The project conducted by Tuncel Engineering and Consulting Company, Istanbul. Dr. Celep was one of the two consultants of the project.
