Dr. Calisir, as an expert in user research (task analysis, cognitive walkthroughs, heuristic evaluations, usability testing, focus groups), has provided usability and industrial engineering consulting services to various clients including Teknopark Istanbul, FNSS, Arcelik, Digiturk, Fintek, Bizitek, Eastern Networks, Kuveyt Turk, TTNet, LCWaikiki, Akademi Consulting, Technobee, Ela Kimya, MÜSİAD, TÜSSİDE, ASKON, and ASRIAD. He has worked on a wide variety of technologies such as Internet sites, extranet sites, intranet sites, paper prototypes, software packages. He worked with designers and developers to look at how a product/system meets user needs so that they can improve the product/system to enhance productivity, increase user satisfaction, and minimize user errors.
As a Consultant, the IP Based Technology Transfer Collaboration Platform, funded by Istanbul Development Agency, gathers alongside Sabanci, Koc, Istanbul Technical, Yildiz Technical, Istanbul Sehir Universities and LES Turkey. The supporting partners are Yıldız Teknopark A.S., İTUNOVA A.S., and TTGV. The main objective of the project is to establish a cooperative platform and an infrastructure that supports market research for IP commercialization activities and internal talent development and training of a qualified workforce both at technology transfer offices and Teknoparks in Istanbul. The total budget of the project is $200,000.00 (2015-2016).
As a Consultant, Kobimen e-Akademi, It is a collaborative project funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (2015-2016). The main objective of the project is to educate the potential mentor candidates to work with SMEs about strategic technology & product management, advanced engineering, and design subjects in a distance learning certification program. Project partners are Egesys, Istanbul Technical University, and EMCC Turkey.
ITU Ari Teknokent’s R&D and Innovation Index was developed in 2013 and 2014.
As a Senior Consultant, I-SUR: Intelligent Surgical Robotics, I-SUR is a large scale collaborative project funded by the European Commission under 7th Framework Program (2011 - 2014). This project will develop advanced technologies for automation minimally invasive and open surgery.
