My Research interests focus on the fields
of biomedical optics and MEMS. Specifically, I work on optical imaging
systems and micro-sensors for medical applications. Targeted applications
include, but not limited to, MEMS-based fiber optic temperature sensors, confocal
endoscopy, laser speckle contrast imaging, and photonics manufacturing.
Ongoing projects are listed below. MEMS-based Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor For Biomedical
Applications Integration of
thermo-mechanical MEMS sensors with fiber optics provides ultra-sensitive and
rapid temperature measurements at harsh settings, while offering immunity to
electromagnetic radiation. The successful implementation of the proposed
MEMS-on-fiber architecture will allow for robust measurements in various
biomedical applications, including implant safety tests during MRI imaging
and for providing feedback during laser ablation. Funding: TUBITAK 2232 Fellowship / Grant |
