Computer: Folder Analyzer

A Windows tool for analyzing folders hierarchies. It displays number of nodes, number of empty nodes, total size and compressibility of a folder. Handy for archiving purposes.

The compressibility metric is the most unique feature of the program. I define the compressibility of a folder as follows: The ratio of the number of files in the folder to the average file size. Therefore, the unit of the compressibility becomes nodes^2 / byte. If the compressibility is high, it means that there are a lot of small files in the directory, so you can zip them and relieve your file system.

Executable: FolderAnalyzer.zip
