EVODES, etkileşimli olarak poster tasarımları evirmenizi sağlayan web tabanlı bir uygulama. Kendisini, Deniz Cem Önduygu ve ben bir evrimsel hesap projesi olarak tasarladık ve gerçekledik. EVODES kullanarak poster tasarlamak için, öncelikle tasarımda kullanılabilecek bileşenleri (resimler, metinler, yazı tipleri, vs.) sunuyorsunuz. Evrim tamamen rastgele yerleşimlerden oluşan bir toplum ile başlıyor. Bundan sonra, siz en iyi bireyleri seçtikçe ve EVODES seçilmiş bireyleri kopyalayıp mutasyona uğrattıkça, evrimsel süreç giderek daha iyi ve daha iyi tasarımlar ortaya çıkarıyor; tıpkı Darvinci evrimde olduğu gibi. Fakat bu durumda, siz de sürecin bir parçası oluyorsunuz.

EVODES is a web-based application that lets you evolve poster designs interactively. Deniz Cem Önduygu and I designed and implemented EVODES as an evolutionary computing project. To generate posters usign EVODES, firstly, you provide the assets (images, texts, typefaces, etc.) that can be used in the design. The evolution starts with a population of completely random layouts. Then, as you select the best, and as EVODES replicates and mutates the selected, the evolutionary process generates better and better designs; just like in the case of Darwinian evolution. But in this case, you are a part of the process as well.
