Undergraduate Graduation Project: Solving Unit Commitment Problem With Evolutionary Strategies Algorithm (pdf)
Subject: Optimizing the usage of electricity power according to certain limits. This problem has not solved by Evolutionary Strategies Algorithm before. My project is the first try. The project is experienced by taking real values and limits of Turkey’s eight power plants.
This problem solved by four students by different aproaches. Our supervisers resulted this study in a journal paper by retrying, "Evolutionary Algorithms for the Unit Commitment Problem", Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Vol. 16, No. 3, TUBITAK Press, pp. 239-255, 2008.
