Usage and Technical Issues

 

USAGE and TECHNICAL ISSUES:

To subscribe to the "freedive-list-ne", all you have to do is to send an e-mail to listserv@dartmouth.edu with an empty subject line and the following as the body of your message:

subscribe freedive-list-ne "your name"
end

Note that "your name" is your actual name, i.e. John Doe. Your e-mail address is automatically captured by Listserv. You can ignore this field if you do not want your name to appear in the list.

Alternatively, you can go to http://listserv.dartmouth.edu/Archives/freedive-list-ne.html and use the Web interface to subscribe.

You will then receive an automated response from listserv@dartmouth.edu, informing you that your subscription request is waiting to be confirmed by the list-owner. You do not have to do anything at this point.

After the list-owner approves your subscription (this may take a while), you will receive another message confirming your succesful subscription. You will also receive a Welcome message which will include most of the necessary information. Please make sure that you read them and save them for future reference.

You can now start receiving and sending your messages to other members. All you have to do is to address your e-mails to freedive-list-ne@listserv.dartmouth.edu. What you send will be distributed to all of the members, including yourself...

Alternatively, you can go to http://listserv.dartmouth.edu/Archives/freedive-list-ne.html and use the Web interface to post messages.

If you ever want to unsubscribe, all you have to do is to send an e-mail to listserv@dartmouth.edu with the following as the body of your message:

signoff freedive-list-ne
end

You will then receive an automated response confirming your unsubscription.

Alternatively, you can go to http://listserv.dartmouth.edu/Archives/freedive-list-ne.html and use the Web interface to unsubscribe.
