Congrats to SPARC SSM

SPARC CPU has SSM ( Silicon Secured Memory ) feature since M7 CPU.
It tracks memory accesses for processes and prohibits all illegal Access.
By the way, it prevents many overflow based security vulnerabilities in memory.

I think we must congratulate this valuable feature as SPARC CPU prevented 3 major security vulnerabilities till the writing of this article. Those are VENOM, SSL HEARTBLEED and MELTDOWN.
( Sparc was affected from SPECTRE but not from MELTDOWN )
Of course this feature does not prevent all vulnerabilities but prevents many major ones so it makes like easier and more secure for us, i thank SSM again very much. This feature is very valuable. AMD also has similar protection, Intel/IBM Power/IBM Mainframe CPUs were all affected at those vulnerabilities, system admins lived many patching weeks because of those issues.
