COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Understanding the processes that make the Solid Earth System and to learn how to observe and record of these processes and events.

Topics are include:
Introduction to the Earth System, the Solid Earth System, the Hydrologic Cycle and weathering, Theories about the changing face of the Earth: Plate Tectonics: origin and development of continents, ocean basins and mountain systems, continental drifting and ocean floor spreading, types of stresses, folds and faults, earthquakes, earth materials: minerals and rocks.
