Credit system

Which system do you use and how does it match Ects ?

We use a credit system (out of a total 4.00 credits).  Every class has a credit and an ECTS credit.

ECTS per year

1st, 2nd, 3rd semester 30 credits, 4th semester 32, 5th semester 31, 6th semester 35, 7th semester 25 and 8th semester 27 ECTS credits.

ECTS per exam

These vary between 2 and 9 (studios) depending on the the class.  Many of the classes are 5 ECTS Credits.

Credits per number of  hours

A class with (2+6)5 credits means that it has 5 credits with 2 hours of theory and 6 hours of practice… the total credit of the class is the theory hours plus half of the practice hours, in this example 2+(6/3)=5

Credits.  ECTS credits do not have a formula like this in our department.

Other

30% of the credits taken by the i.t.u. students have to be from classes tought in the english language.
