Aisha & Victor has been dancing separately for years before they met and when a dancing couple was formed they potentialized and enriched each other giving a way to a very particular manner of dancing and teaching Argentinean tango.
AISHA is of Polish origins and from the very early age she has lived and traveled all through the world getting to know diverse cultures and discovering in that context their folkloric dances ( Irish dancing, Oriental dancing, Polish folklore) till she falls in love with Argentinean tango. She submerges in this fantastic world, settles down in Buenos Aires and studies there with the greatest maestros of tango Julio Balmaceda & Corina de la Rosa, Gustavo Naveira, Gustavo Chidichimo & Virginia Martorani and many others representatives of modern and traditional tango. Parallel, she develops other elements useful for her tango- from jazz and contemporary, classical ballet and corporal expression in many of the most recognized dance institutes in Buenos Aires and abroad. Another part of her tango research is through teaching tango during the annual tango tour in Europe or in both Americas.
VICTOR was born in Villa Urquiza, one of the most traditional tango quarters in Buenos Aires. He grew up in the family of the popular tango dancers and from the very early age learnt traditional tango. He was professionally formed with the most important maestros of tango: Balmaceda & Corina de la Rosa, , Gabriel Angió & Natalia Games, Osvaldo Zotto, Pepito Avellaneda, Eduardo Gonzalez & Maria Martha, and from the young generation of the modern tango dancers like Facundo Gil Jáuregui, Bruno Tómboli. He has traveled with his tango in many of the countries of Europe and America, giving classes and dancing on the most important stages of Spain, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Brasil.
In one of those tours he met Aisha which initiated a professional relationship expressed in their tango, by the absolutely pure, precise style, down to the floor ( a piso), traditional, but which incorporates new, more contemporary elements : the result is a the very fine balance between the roots of tango and its new, renovating expressions. Aisha & Victor specialize also in milonga con traspié, the sister rhythm of tango, more spicy and entertaining, where one can feel African influences filtered through tango. Besides they dance valz, which being obviously of European origins found in Buenos Aires fertile ground to grow and develop its proper characteristics, very much influenced by tango esthetics of this city porteña. This rhythm is practiced and taught by Aisha & Victor, with the same spirit of tradition and modern renovation in constant equilibrium.
