Course Content:

Otomasyon teknolojilerine giriş. Endüstriyel kontrol sistemleri. Algılayıcılar, motorlar ve diğer kontrol sistem elemanları.  Sayısal kontrol. Endüstriyel robotik. Pnömatik sistemler ve kontrolü. Hidrolik sistemler ve kontrolü. Servo mekanizmalar. Programlanabilir mantıksal kontrolör (PLC) ve bilgisayarla ile kontrol. Transport sistemlerinin otomasyonu. Depolama sistemleri. Otomatik veri okuma, iletim ve değerlendirme.

Introduction to Automation. Industrial Control systems. Sensors, Motors and other control
system elements.
Numerical Control. Industrial Robotic. Pneumatic Systems and Control.
Hydraulic Systems and Control. Servo mechanisms. Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and
computer control. Automation of the transport systems. Automated Storage Systems. Automated
Data capture, transmission and analysis

 

Course Objectives:

 

1.     To teach the importance and advantages of the industrial automation.

2.     To present the basics and technological details of the usage and selection of the modern
automation systems.

3.     To teach fundamental information elements of automation; such as on sensors, motors,
robots and controllers.

4.     To present the power control and applications involving hydraulic, pneumatic, servo
mechanisms.

Notes:

 

·                   Throughout the semester NINOVA education portal will be used.

·                   Laboratory activities will be announced later.

·                   In order to take the final exam you should attend at least 70% of the lectures, and also your midterm grade average should be at least 35.

·                   Independent of the class grade average, students who obtain below 35 will receive only FF, for those who obtained below 80 can not receive AA grade.
