My Volunteer Works

While I was in my first year in ITU I participated in IEEE at Women In Engineering Association. Later on, I continued as Chairperson and our most important project was S.T.A.R which stands for Student-Teacher and Research Engineer/Scientist Program. We visited a high school with more limited economic resources and spoke to the students about career opportunities in the fields of engineering and science.

We also conducted workshops with them that involved small technological projects. We concluded with small sponsored gifts. The spark in their eyes gave us hope for the future.

In 2024 I participated in a math festival hosted by Galatasaray University. I've tasted the joy of talking about abstract algebra and symmetry with professors to kindergarten level mathematicians for whole weekend.

Even though I've hosted the "algebra & symmetry" table for two days, preparition for our visitors took months with dedicated work and time.
