In this project, the effect of change of vehicles working between Eminönü and Zeytinburnu in Istanbul to the traction power system has been examined and solutions have been suggested for possible problems. After the application of the suggested solutions the new vehicles have started to work through the line since summer 2004. As suggested in the report no problems have been detected in this process. Moreover nearly 6% of energy saving has been achieved despite an increase in the capasity. |

In this project the traction power system of the metro line planned to be built between Üsküdar and Ümraniye at the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Particularly 750 V DC system is compared with 1500 V DC system and possible designs for both cases are proposed. |
