TUBITAK 1515

The main objective of TUBITAK 1515 Frontier R&D Laboratories Support Program is to improve Turkish scientists’ research competencies and make Turkey a global center of attraction in certain fields of science and technology. The program aims to generate new knowledge, make scientific interpretations, find solutions to current and future technological and scientific problems, perform conceptual verifications and create new theoretical frameworks.

Within the context of this program, a collaborative semantic communication-based study will be carried out with BTS Group. Semantic communication is likely to play an essential role in developing 6G technology. This technology is expected to bring several innovations, such as high-speed data communication. In particular, it will likely contribute to developing exciting technologies such as ‘All-sense communication’ (ASC). ASC is a form of communication that does not limit communication to audio and video but extends it to other senses, such as taste, touch, and smell. This will be possible through wearable sensors and augmented reality technologies.

With this project:

In Sybelle platform, end-to-end semantic communication will be implemented, increasing the efficiency of protocols frequently used by virtual machines.

For Olympos automation tool, it is aimed to correct errors in TCP/UDP, IP and MAC packet headers according to the communication history of the devices, their compatibility with the usual flows and their semantic meaning.
