CONTEMPORARY HUNGARIAN CINEMA AND SUGGESTIONS TO TURKISH CINEMA

The Hungarian cinema has been able to represent such a high artistic excellence and such variety, it has been able to develop and bloom so well, because in this country of only ten million, spread out on less than a hundred thousand movie theaters, critics and public alike follow what is happening, and support the Hungarian cinema with their criticism. The Hungarian cinema has come the way pointed to by Bela Balazs on January of 1924 in the last paragraph of his book, 'Der sichhtbare Mensch': "...(film) will be able to develop into a great form of art in keeping with its immanent possibilities, if the general development of its environment creates a kindred intellectual atmosphere." ...
