When I’m writing a song, I usually hang out with the guitar and record melodies that I like. Then I take the most interesting ones among them and add extra instruments on it with the help of music theory. Actually, when I wrote this, I did not intend to be in the Phrygian mode. It can make you feel that it is one of the darkest modes, and that’s why it’s actually among my favourites. The chorus part, which I combined violin, bass and lead guitar, is quite intense and gloomy. I built this song on ABA, one of my favorite song patterns. The improvised cross guitar solos are also not very interesting from a technical point of view, but I think they complete the song well.
