I
am an atmospheric scientist. I study climate change, one of the most
pressing issues we face today. Throughout my professional career, I have basically focused on understanding
climate change.
My first published papers were in the field of knowing the climate and climate
change regionally. To date, my works have been resulted over 25 peer-reviewed
journals, 25 conference papers, and more than 5 presentations and invited
talks. I wrote ‘Iran, Global Warming and, Heatwaves’ a book that is showing how
changes are expected in the characteristic of heatwaves. I hold serving as a
reviewer and scientific board of more than 10 archival journals and
conferences. In addition
to convening and teaching academic and professional programs, I hold a
postdoctoral position at the department
of Meteorology/Istanbul Technical University. My
research currently focuses on establishment a scientific basis for assessing
the regional to global-scale impacts of climate change on the natural
environment. To this end, I analyze
observations, compare future scenarios, evaluate global and regional climate
models, and constantly strive to develop better ways of translating climate
projections.
