Welcome,
I am a PhD candidate in Computer Engineering Program of Istanbul Technical University. I graduated from Izmir Science High School and Computer Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University. I was born in Izmir and I currently live in Istanbul.
Computer science is my primary interest. I first met with a computer when I was seven. Since then, I learned and used Atari Basic, GW Basic, Q Basic, Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal, Delphi, C, C++, Java, Eiffel, Prolog, Haskell and many other programming languages. I had dozens of small programming projects ranging from fractal drawing programs to software MIDI controllers. My first academic achievement, however, was a paper that I wrote with Amaç Herdağdelen and Haluk Bingöl on complex networks, which was presented in ECCS'05. During my master education, I worked with Zehra Çataltepe on a bioinformatics project supported by TÜBİTAK and I published several papers on protein function prediction. You can find more on my computer related works here.
I am also interested a lot in music and a little in photography. You can check out my experimental recordings here and some photos that I have taken here.
Thanks for visiting,
Eser Aygün
