Notes:
A total of 10 problem sets will be given to the students starting with the first week of classes. Students will
be asked to solve one of these problems and hand in to the instructor the following week. Marked solutions
will be returned to the student one week later. Summarized solutions of the problem sets will be posted on
course ON-LINE.. Copied assignments will not be accepted.
Exams will be closed book and notes. However students will be allowed to bring a helpful information sheet
(two sides) to the exams This sheet may include formulas, diagrams, definitions,... but no problem solutions.
This information sheet must be prepared by the student herself (himself) and student’s name and number
must be written at the top.
